Chicago - Look Away

Taken from the album, "Chicago 19," the single "Look Away" was released in 1988. When released as a single that year, the song proved successful, topping the Billboard Hot 100, though it's their last song to do so. See the song's lyric here.

Toto - I Won't Hold You Back

From Wikipedia: "I Won't Hold You Back" is a ballad by the American pop-rock band Toto, written by Steve Lukather for their fourth album, Toto IV and released in 1982 (see 1982 in music). The song reached the top ten, peaking at #10 in the U.S. on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. Check also the lyrics.

Breathe - How Can I Fall

Breathe were a London based musical group formed in the early 80s. The one single that I ever heard of was "Breathe." I don't think that they sing other popular songs. What I loved in this video was in the last part, when the rain falls down. See the song's lyric here.

Roxette - Queen Of Rain

The single "Queen of Rain" was the second single taken from Swedish pop duo Roxette's album, "Tourism: Songs from Studios, Stages, Hotelrooms & Other Strange Places." I don't think I can explain anymore about Roxette other than they are really great singers. Check the lyric's here.

Cover Girls - We Can't Go Wrong

One of the popular female group in the 80s, The Cover Girls has quite great singles. One og the is "We Can't Go Wrong." Among the group's other best-known songs are "Show Me" and "Wishing On a Star." You can find the song's lyric here.

Garbage - When I Grow Up

Garbage has quite extensive pop rock song. Some of them has quite weird tunes, but some of them was very expressive. One of my favorite was "When I Grow Up" taken from their "Version 2.0" album in 1998. The song was also the theme of Big Daddy soundtrack. Find the song's lyric here.

Cardigans - My Favourite Game

The Cardigans's video of one of their single, "My Favorite Game," was very brutal so that it needs to be censored when played on national television. The song was taken from their fourth studio album, Gran Turismo. You can find the lyric here. The video below is the uncensored video, so be sure your kids don't see this.

Cranberries - Salvation

Cranberries was one of my long time favorite group. The singer, Dolores O'Riordan has a very unique voice that I don't think can't be compared to anyone. Cranberries's video was sometimes unique, and sometimes a bit scary, just like this single, "Salvation," which was taken from their third album, "To The Faithful Departed" in 1996. Stone Temple Pilots - Interstate Love Song

Stone Temple Pilots published their second album, "Purple" in 1994. The album debuted with "Interstate Love Song" single, which quickly became a big hit. Other hits from the album included "Vasoline" and "Big Empty." Sing it along with this funny (weird) video.

Mr Big - To Be With You

One of best classic rock ever, Mr. Big with their greatest hit song "To Be With You." The song appears on the album Lean into It. "To Be With You" is about a man who has his eye on a well liked woman, but she is taken by another man who is mean to her. Check its lyric here.

Tesla - Love Song

"Love Song" was a power ballad sang by Tesla. The song was taken from the album "The Great Radio Controversy," released in 1989. When the video was placed in heavy rotation on MTV, the song rocketed to #10 in the U.S. charts, becoming one of the group's biggest hits.

The music video was filmed in the bands home town of Sacramento at the former Cal Expo amphitheater. Old 93 Rock banners can be seen hanging in the back ground. Check the song's lyric here.

Shampoo - Trouble

The duo band Shampoo consist of Jacqui Blake and Carrie Askew, who has met since their teenage years. Their song, "Trouble" became famous when it was included in the sountrack of Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers: The Movie. However, their popularity when down in 1995 after they released their second album, "Girl Power." You can dance and sing the song here.

Frente - Accidentally Kelly Street

Frente! was an Australian alternative pop/rock group, formed in 1991. Frente! burst onto the Australian music charts with the singles "Ordinary Angels" and "Accidently Kelly Street" in 1992. The group was quite unique with their video clip performances. Sing with the lyric here.

Berlin - Take My Breath Away

A great song "Take My Breath Away" from 1986s movie Top Gun starring Tom Cruise. The song performed by Berlin, won the Academy Award for Best Original Song as well as the Golden Globe Award for Best Original Song in 1987. Check this memorable love song's lyric here.

Tears For Fears - Sowing The Seeds Of Love

"Sowing The Seeds of Love" song was taken from Tears For Fears third and final album in 1989, before they break out. I remembered how I really loved the video clip. It was so full of effects and animation that was really great from that time. The song was actually quite long and has decent great lyrics.



Here's also Tears For Fears performing "Sowing the Seeds of Love" live at Night of the Proms (Antwerp, Belgium 2006).

Sweet Sensation - If Wishes Came True

"If Wishes Came True" is a song recorded by the dance group Sweet Sensation on their 1990 album Love Child. It was the biggest hit of their career and hit number one in the U.S. back in 90s. Sing the song with the lyric here.

Bangles - Manic Monday

The earlieast single from Bangles, "Manic Monday" taken from the album "Different Light" published on 1986. A great melodic song, saying how we always hate Monday morning. Anyway, check the lyric here.

The Cars - Drive

Foreigner - I Wanna Know What Love Is

Roxette - Listen To Your Heart

Roxette was a great duo from Sweden who has lots of hits since the early 90s. The song "Listen To Your Heart" was taken from their first international album, "Look Sharp!" Roxette recorded the video in the Borgholm Castle ruin on the Swedish Baltic Sea island of Ă–land. Check also their lyric here.
